Happy New Year Shenzhen Dragons!

happy new year Shenzhen DragonsI hope everyone got through Christmas and the New Year festivities in one piece. I guess people are making their way back to Shenzhen. Some are already there and some never left! So, it’s time to start thinking rugby again after a few months break! The new rugby kits have been ordered and the coach is working on some drills to whip us into shape, after undoubted over indulgences since we last trained.

The manager of McCawley’s has kindly invited us to a soft opening of the new McCawley’s bar in Futian, Thursday Jan 7th. Lets all get together to regroup and have a beer and support one of our new sponsors.

Our first 2010 rugby training session is Thursday, Jan 14th at the Stadium. Let’s try to get everybody out for this, fit, injured or otherwise. We need to know what size squad we have and who is intending to play rugby this year. I have heard a lot of big talk from little men around the pubs and clubs of Shenzhen over the last few months, funny how they are not around when there is rugby to be played. Get them out!

If you are injured, bring a few beers and show up for the head count. Really looking forward to getting this season rolling, lets start with momentum and numbers. If we only have 8 guys showing up to training we can’t commit to playing any games. We need 20 people out and then we can aggressively set our fixture list!
