Foreigners Must Register Their Residence In China
According to Law of the PRC on Entry and Exit of Aliens and the rules governing the implementation of the law, foreigners shall register their residence in China within 24 hours of arrival. Article 13 of Regulations on the Administration of Rental Housing in Shenzhen (amended on March 23 of 2007) stipulates that, within 10 days of signing of lease, the owner or manager of the house and the leaser shall register with or report to the housing rental administration department. Violations of such stipulations will be punished.
This form is based on the above stipulations and is for registration by local police station, housing rental administration department and other government departments. It is available at real estate agencies, housing management offices, etc.
It shall be truthfully completed in print by the lodger/resident or agent, and shall, together with copies of the entry certificate’s picture page, present visa page, last entry stamp page, as well as 4 one-inch full-faced recent pictures, be submitted to either Police Station, or Community Police Office, or Housing Rental Administration Office, where the entry certificate shall be examined and a receipt of registration will be issued.
When moving out of the registered residence, the lodger/resident shall have his/her registration canceled with one of the above-listed
