Kitchenware Store in Dongmen

For anyone who owns a pint-sized oven, we all have the same question: where on earth (or in Shenzhen for that matter) do we buy utensils and accessories to accompany the bloody thing!!??

With the help of my fellow Food and Beverage friends, I found Heaven’s Kitchen (or is it Kitchen’s Heaven?)

This place is located in Dongmen and is a massive 4 stories high building. My journey there was fueled with my urge to bake, yes, cakes. Jusco, Carrefour, Park’n Shop, Vanguard and Ole all sell cake mixes but no one sells cake tins.

Two years ago, I stumbled across a half assed Chinese tin in Carrefour.  They made me pay 230rmb for it. I knew I was severely ripped off at the time, but what choice did I have?

Well, in this kitchenware store, not only did I not pay 230rmb for a shitty baking dish but I got a genuine Italian silcone one for only 130rmb. Trust me, these things are the BOMB!

The place is 4 floor building and a basic guide is as follows:

1st Floor (Street Level): Ceramic cooking pots and various cheaper utensils

2nd Floor: Knives, spadles, cling wrap, foil, backing paper, cleaning fluids and insect repellents as well as plates and cutlery

3rd Floor: ovens, stoves, fryers, all larger equipment

4th Floor; cake trays, smaller equipments, other backing accessories

The address of the place is as follows, and from what i know it has no English name except CAQ.

Web: www.caq.cc

Physical: 深圳罗湖区湖贝路2163号1-4层

You can buy anything in this place for commercial or private use. The prices are very reasonable.
