Futian Border Crossing

Futian Border Crossing is located at the Futian Kou’An Metro Station Train Station. This is the newest Shenzhen / HK Metro Border Crossing.

Futian Border Crossing is a pedestrian crossing connecting Shenzhen with Hong Kong between Futian Kou’An and Lok Ma Chau in New Territories.

Futian Border Crossing is very similar to Luo Hu Border Crossing. When you arrive, you will go through China Immigration on the Shenzhen side of the river. You will then walk across a bridge over the Shenzhen River (this is also an air conditioned walkway). At the end of this bridge, you will be at HK Immigration. Once you clear HK Immigration you will buy your Octopus Card for HK Metro and you’ll be on your way, just as in Luo Hu.

Like Luo Hu, both Immigration require you to complete a form, sometimes 2, which are available at the desk where you can fill the form in.

However, unlike LuoHu, when you cross at Futian, you can exit the building and re-enter to come directly BACK to Shenzhen (This is good for “Visa Runs” which is when you need to leave and come back for your visa requirements).
