Passengers taking Shenzhen Metro Line 4 from Hong Kong to Shenzhen were impressed by the changes made, since it was managed by the Hong Kong MTR group.

The stations have been redesigned with color motifs and advertisements with themes relating to the station. Walls have been painted and colorful murals of the children’s palace, robots, stuff toys and dolls. Staff in MTR uniforms and Cantonese speaking helps passengers with their problems.

Public announcements takes on the voices of cartoon characters in the stations are also the same as Hong Kong Metro, making them more passenger freindly and easy to remember.Line 4 also issued commemorative tickets with a theme of cooperation between Hong Kong and Shenzhen and the company will plan to continue to issue more limited edition tickets with different themes and cartoon characters in the future. Line 4 runs from Futian Checkpoint to the Children’s Palace in Futian District. It will be extended by 16 km to Qinghu, Bao’an District.
