Australian and Global Economic Outlook with Bill Evans, Managing Director of Economics, WestpacAustCham Shanghai is proud to welcome the return of Bill Evans, Westpac’s Managing Director of Economics, to a breakfast event with AustCham Shanghai members.

In this session Bill will cover:

* An update on the European market, having just returned from Europe
* How China is coping with recent events in Europe
* The impact of current global developments in the Australian and New Zealand markets
* Australian states and sectors most affected
* The likely impact of the rising RMB on Australia

Guest Speaker:

William (Bill) Evans, Managing Director Economics, Westpac

Bill is a graduate of Sydney University (BEc.Hons / and University Medal) and the London School of Economics(M.Sc.). He has worked as a Research Manager for the Reserve Bank of Australia, Treasurer at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, and prior to joining Westpac in 1991, was Director and Head of Financial Markets at Schroders Australia Limited for 8 year.

Bill is currently Managing Director Economics and is the Bank’s economic spokesman. He is responsible for all o the Banks’s economic and capital markets research in addition to advising the Board on economic issues. Bill travels frequently, advising Westpac’s customers on the Australian economy and financial markets.
