New Chair of AustCham Shanghai Board
Responding to the announcement, Mr Keir said: “I am delighted and proud to have been elected as Chair of the Board for the coming year.
“Understanding and serving our members is the Board’s key role. This year, we will be strongly focused on improving communication and engaging with our membership, and we will base our decision-making on the knowledge we gain from this. Along with the other Board Directors, I am looking forward to this challenge.”
Mr Keir is the Founder and President of Dash Brands, a company that launched Gloria Jean’s Coffees, Boost Juice Bars and Subway Restaurants into China. He brings to the position 16 years experience as a management consultant and in property development in China, and he has been an active member of AustCham Shanghai for the past two years.
At today’s Board Meeting, Mr Seamus Cornelius was re-appointed as Vice-Chair and Ms Vivienne Yu as Finance Director.
At last week’s AGM, Mr Stephen White announced his retirement as Chair (a position he held for three years); however he will continue to serve as a Board Director in 2010-2011. Vice Chair Seamus Cornelius proposed a vote of thanks to Stephen White at AGM 2010 for his service and ongoing commitment to AustCham Shanghai and its membership.
