American families attending Cultural Festival

The 2010 China-U.S. Cultural and Art Exchange Festival opened yesterday, attracting 250 U.S. teachers, students and parents talking with their Chinese counterparts in China.

This 14 day festival organized by the American International Students Foundation and the Shenzhen Daily featured traditional Chinese performances and some performances from the American guests. The event also features a series of activities in education, culture, art and tourism.

Fifty American families will be visiting chinese families during the event, Karyn Bruce who went with her daughter to Shenzhen is looking forward to meet people and learn more Chinese folk culture. Beside the the exchange of art and culture, summer camps will also be offered to students, organized by international organizations and Chinese educational institutions.

Besides the exchange of art and culture, a variety of summer camps will be offered to students during the vacation, which were organized either by international organizations or leading Chinese educational institutions.
