Usain Bolt claimed a new meet record title after winning 100m at the Diamond League in Paris on Friday.

The Jamaican sprint king overpowered fellow countryman Asafa Powell who was leading in the earlier part of the dash.  Bolt pulled ahead of Powell in the last 20 meters and reached the finish line first at 9.84 seconds. Powell clocked at 9.91 seconds while another Jamaican sprinter, Yohan Blake finished at 9.95 claiming the 2nd and 3rd places respectively.

Bolt who now has a 14 unbeaten surge in 100m arena said,  “It wasn’t the best race I’ve ever had in my life”. My first part was awful. At the 50 meters, I thought he (Powell) had me. I had to work a little bit harder to get back in the race.”
The 23-year-old Olympic and World Champion made his comeback from an achilles tendon problem last week.
