Power outage halts train services
Train services from Shenzhen to Guangzhou were suspended due to power outage Monday night, leaving passengers stranded.
The power outage was caused by a falling object from a flyover hitting power cables near Shipai district in Guangzhou, the problem was fixed around 9:50 p.m. Train services was then resumed, unfortunately trains going to Shenzhen were further delayed because there were no more trains available. There were no explanations why there were no trains from Guangzhou East Railway Station available, station staff offered refunds and advised the stranded passengers to take other forms of transportation to reach Shenzhen.
Some of the stranded passengers demanded the station to provide them with a bus to take them to Shenzhen, but was denied.
