Shekou Touch Rugby Training
The rainy weather was no deterrent for Shekous’ avid rugby players. Last night we were joined by two Futian Dragons’ rugby players, Josh Phillips and Dan Beach who proved athleticism still does have a role in rugby.
The older Shekou players were all feeling their age last night with the nights leading try score being Kahana-Mika Tuia at the ripe old age of eight. Mika displayed safe hands and a hunger for the try line.
Shekou’s aging stable of bench warmers have all had a relaxing summer vacation, eating everything in sight, as evidenced by their eerily similar, expanded girths.
Rumor has it the Shekou rugby team may be establishing a Sumo Team, purely because you don’t have to run so far when Sumo wrestling.
Shekou rugby saw two families playing last night. Brian Tuia was upstaged by his two sons: Mika an eight year old rampaging try scoring machine and best on ground Ashley Tuia. Vlad Pashkov took a different approach to parenting and used his pace to score the game deciding final try of the evening, off his 12 year old daughter.
