Despite the decreasing of prices over the past week, vegetable prices are expected to rise further in the coming week and months.

This is because most of the vegetables comes from areas affected by floods, destroying crops and dropping supplies. Vegetables are not the only thing that had a increase of price, pork prices have increased to 16 yuan per kilogram and might go as high as 20 yuan in the next two months. This is because of two factors, one id because corn is the main ingredient in the pigs feed, second because of blocked and flooded roads leading to the markets. Prices of different commodities still remain stable and leafy vegetable prices will drop in the coming day since local harvest will begin soon.
