Shenzhen is one of the 46 cities invited to stage a special event in the 2010 World Expo.

A series of performance from the Shenzhen Orchestra, Shenzhen Senior High School, and Shenzhen Daweiwu Dance Troupe did a magical number that included singing, dancing, magic shows and opera. This was aimed to show the world how young, modern and multi dimensional the city of Shenzhen is. One visitor said she really enjoyed the performances, like the Nanhai Oyster Dance which shows how they raise oysters from the sea so its a unique tradition from Guangdong.

Shenzhen pavilion has the largest Mona Lisa replica done by 570 artists from Shenzhen’s oil painting village, and the Expo have already been visited by over 34 million people, coming from different places at home or abroad.
