Mongolia is one of the last frontier markets with major resource deposits of coal, copper, molybdenum, fluorspar, tin, tungsten, uranium and gold.  To date, only 15% of the country has been geologically surveyed, so there are immense possibilities.

AustCham Shanghai members are invited to join with Austrade to explore these Mongolian opportunities during an intensive trade mission.  The four-day Mission leaving on August 7 will be a crash course in market opportunities, the trading environment and cultural differences particularly related to mining investment and development and related industries.

Australian Ambassador to South Korea Sam Gerovich is expected to attend the Mission as is Laurie Smith, Austrade Regional Director for North East Asia.  There will also be opportunities to network with key Mongolian officials.

For more information please visit www.austrade.gov.au/mongoliamining. For interested applicants please apply not later than August 6, 2010.
