L-15 Inspection Is Ultimate Semiconductor Test
Our qualified agents perform the following steps for inspection of electronic components from China, Asia, and other geographic locations around the world.
Electronic Component Inspection
Determine and/or verify the inspection, testing, packaging, shipping, sourcing, and other requirements of the client (the components buyer).
Evaluate the components vendor/supplier, including verify and/or inspect their physical location, investigate their reputation and credentials, analyze their business processes and standards, and overall quality assurance assessment, as needed, based upon client needs and recency of existing vendor evaluation.
Serving as the buyer’s representative in the source country, travel to the vendor’s physical warehouse location and conduct an on-site inspection of the vendor’s overall warehouse conditions as well as the specific product in question. Meet with vendor management and staff and gain
first-hand insight into the character and integrity of the supplier, as well as their product.
Confirm the quantity of parts stated in original P.O., and confirm the quantity being inspected, in accordance with AQL Standards. (See Reporting Documentation.)
Inspect the condition of the packaging, box, seal and binding. Determine whether packaging conforms to applicable ESD Standards.
Check the validity of the date code and lot code. Determine whether parts are from
the same lot or are bulk parts.
Conduct a physical inspection. Compare product to the manufacturer’s specifications, including visual, physical package dimensions (with calibration to determine whether lead length is within correct range), solderability, and lead integrity.
Perform a top mark inspection, an in-depth analysis of all part markings, including pin one indicators and tooling marks, and check for consistency with all other parts.
Run a marking permanency test of top marking on a pre-determined sample of the product, in accordance with AQL Standards. (See Reporting Documentation.)
Visually inspect parts using a high-resolution digital camera linked to our network with cinema display screen, generate 10 MegaPixel images, search for microscopic defects invisible to the naked eye, and discover any additional anomalies that may be present.
Inspect part leads for evidence of prior use, refurbishment, or oxidation.
Determine the general usability of the part.
Prepare an Inspection Report, a detailed written record of our findings as well as recommendations to the client based upon these findings, including high-resolution photography of the actual parts inspected.
Send a copy of the Inspection Report to the client via email, and maintain a copy in our archives for future reference.
Depending upon client requirements: manage third-party testing, kit or package product using ESD compliant packaging, ship product to client or blind-ship product to client’s customer, including OEMs, CMs, and distribution partners, and provide other services as needed. (Additional Fees Apply.)
