Students compete for a reporter spot in Universiade games

For the past two days 160 students coming from 120 universities gather in Shenzhen to compete to be one of the registered journalists for the Universiade games.

During their one week stay the students attended workshops on media technology, and lectures from scholars and journalists. They students are required to make suggestions on how to run the newspaper for the Universiade games, as well as websites, TV stations and other forms of media.

Aside from team leaders, candidates were also selected from college reporters from 300 different universities. The Universiade organizing committee expects the students to promote the Universiade games and Shenzhen city when they return to their respective places and campuses.
