Villa to be used as a public angling facility
Plans to demolished a European villa were canceled and the villa was simply separated into three individual sections. Although the court order that allows the demolition of the said structure was executed, several structures were allowed to remain.
Known as the floating palace, it was built by real estate developer Guo Kuizhang which used the place to entertain guests and friends. the villa foundations are already separated into three parts, but the main structure remains, since this will be turned into a public angling facility by the oceanic bureau after renovations are done.
Sources say that the villa was built on fish rafts in 2003, and covered an area of 3,000 square meters with a cost of an estimated 100 million yuan. Since visits to the Floating Palace was through invitation only, people can read articles online on its luxuries, which includes expensive furnishings, antiques and horse breeding farm.
