Minsk Aircraft Carrier

After 5 years of being in Shenzhen, We decided it was time to go and visit the Famous Minsk Aircraft carrier that was reportedly being sold and sent up the coast.

I wasnt sure what to expect, besides well….an aircraft carrier.

We hired a car for the day and headed off, after about 45 minutes we arrived in Yantian, just before Da Mei Sha.

It was unfortunately pouring down rain.

The tickets were a bit expensive at 130rmb, but it seem to include everything except the kiddies rubber ball shooting range. When yu go into the gates there are some cool old jets, helicopters, and damn big guns.

The aircraft carrier is surprisingly small, and not at all what i expected. When you go inside, there is 3 parts to the museum basically, you can wonder around whats left of the aircraft carrier. then inside the body there is a haphazard museum, and the last part is the live shows. we went on national mourning day so the shows were not on, but i dont think we missed out on much.

Well here are some pictures.
