New medical center to be built in Shenzhen
According to its plans, Shenzhen will become a regional medical Center in the span of ten years. With high standards of health care that would be offered to its residents and other visitors from neighboring cities. City health department said that Shenzhen will become the Pearl River Delta medical center in five year, a major center in the Asia Pacific by the year 2030.
District hospitals will be given top level hospital rankings,plus given more advanced facilities and medical professionals to give and ensuring each district has a top level hospital. The city will also lend a hand in developing sub level hospitals and community health centers. Hospital quality and medical staff will be upgraded, and prices for basic medical health care will be reduced after the new medical center is built.
After the new medical building will be built, there would be an additional 12,000 beds in the city to accommodate Longgang and Bao’an districts and the new zones in Pingshan and Guangming. City estimates that in the year 2015 their will be at least 3.9 beds plus three doctors for every 1,000 people.
