Chinese Take to Rugby in Shenzhen
As usual the bossy French took charge of proceedings and divided the teams up into four unequal teams of seven or eight each. Each team got to play with the other three teams. The rugby was at a frantic pace with only a two minute break between each game. By the last game, all the tired old dogs were out of energy which allowed Vivian to scoop up another Best on Ground performance, with three back to back tries in the dying minutes of last game.
As usual a dozen or so players went to the Snake Pit to have a quiet drink and discuss important subjects such as, “Why do the French get so emotional about rugby?, “Where did all the new Chinese rugby players come from all of a sudden?”, “Why do the women seem to score more tries than the guys?”, “Don’t you think Herve looks exactly like Crixus?” “Is Darren bald, as he never takes his hat off?” “If Rob is English, why can no one understand his English?” “Are Jonny’s guns really bigger than my head?”.
