Hong Kong students to study in Shenzhen schools
Shenzhen Schools are now open to students coming from Hong Kong, since more parents want their children to adapt Hong Kong education system, even if they are living in the mainland. Graduates will be then eligible to take Hong Kong Secondary School allocation test.
The three schools that will have open primary classes for students are Shenzhen Tsinghua Experimental School, Beijing University Nanshan School and Yaohua Experimental School. The schools are expecting around 100 enrolees from Hong Kong.
More than four thousand children of Hong Kong families are now studying in Shenzhen schools and the Hong Kong government is discussing new policies for opening high schools to mainland students. The Hong Kong Education Bureau is discussing cooperation conditions with mainland and plans to invite private and international schools into their discussions.
As of now there are 40 secondary schools and 42 primary schools in Hong Kong that have sister schools in Shenzhen.
