The center for disease control and prevention (CDC) will be conducting a free measles vaccination campaign this Saturday up to Sept. 20. The center is urging all mothers and young mothers to bring in their children for vaccination as soon as possible.

Shenzhen children and expatriate children, from age 8 months to 4 years are eligible for one free dose of the measles vaccine. Inoculations are done in all 492 medical institutions throughout Shenzhen, including health centers, hospitals, and sub district health centers. Children who already have been vaccinated can get the booster shot.

The ministry of health advises that children that have contraindications to the vaccine are not allowed to get the shot, children who also received immune globulin vaccines in the last three months are also asked not to take the vaccine.
