The Aussie Ball wouldn’t be the Aussie Ball without the fun activities that go on around the ballroom during the night!

This year the charity of choice is the Giving Tree. From September to December every year, the Giving Tree volunteers raise funds to fill gift bags with winter clothes and vital schooling equipment for orphans and the children of migrant workers so that they are not forgotten during Chinese New Year.

So this Saturday night, don’t forget to arrive at the Shangri La Pudong with cash in your pocket so that you can participate in some of the extremely fun fundraising activities like the ECCO Whack the Witch game. The aim of the game is to sling-shot a flying monkey to stop the Wicked Witch. The cost to participate will be RMB100 and you’ll have the chance to win prizes such as Shanghai hotels stays to the value of RMB6,200, two return tickets to Australia flying both Qantas AND Cathay Pacific, restaurant vouchers and much, much more!

In addition, the live and silent auctions feature packages that you will not be able to resist. For example, the “Hi Ho Hi Ho to a boys weekend we go” package includes shark dives, a full day on the green and passes to the HSBC Golf Championships at Sheshan; penthouse stay at URBN, evening with a Brew Master, Boxing class memberships, free flow booze at the Camel Sports Bar, slabs of beer and laser park passes … could it get any better boys?

Get your friends together to bid on one or more of the following packages: “No Place Like Home”,“The Candy Man’s Truly Scrumptious DLC”,“Glinda’s Glorious Girls Night Out” and“Far Out Family Fun”. There will also be holiday packages to Japan, Phuket, a party package for Mesa and Kosta Boda glassware.

Credit card facilities will available at the event for purchase of all auction prizes.
