Shenzhen overseas recruitment fair a success
50 research teams, 1,000 senior professionals, and 10,000 students that are studying overseas are coming to Shenzhen to work for the next five years. The returning professionals will be given housing and other project subsidies, and spouses and children are given priority in employment, medical care and education.
These measures are part of a plan given by party chief Wang Rong, on his trip to recruit professionals in Los Angeles. Wang lead a 200 member delegation, that unveiled the Shenzhen recruitment office for professionals in America. The Los Angeles office is the permanent liaison office assigned to recruit professionals, promote talent, introduce policies and organize job fairs.
The recently concluded job fair attracted over 2,000 overseas students, 400 of them have already signed letters of intent with enterprises and institutions. Some institutions have already hired professionals and one establishment signed 12 students who were interested in doing research in Shenzhen.
This was the seventh time Shenzhen organized job fairs overseas, the group is now heading for Tokyo after conducting the fair in Silicon valley in San Fransisco.
