Annual Ireland Trophy Horse Race and Arthur’s Day at Happy Valley HK
HK GAA together with the St. Patrick’s Society is hosting the running of the annual Ireland Trophy at Happy Valley horse racing course on September 23, 12:30 p.m.. This event coincides with a public holiday in Hong Kong, guaranteeing a packed stadium and a great atmosphere. A private box, seating 200 persons, has been reserved, and tables of 10 or individual tickets can be booked.
September 23 is also Arthur’s Day, Guinness Annual Day of Celebration on Arthur Guinness’ birthday. Following the races, there will be “ceol agus craic” in Delaney’s bar Wan Chai, where a band will play and a toast will be raised at 17:59 Irish time (12:59 HK time) to celebrate the start of Guinness years ago in 1759.
Registration fee for this event is HK$650 per person, which includes a buffet lunch and open bar (wines, beers, spirits, Guinness and soft drinks).
