Dameisha beach to limit number of visitors during the holidays
Dameisha beach park will impose a maximum visitor capacity during the National Day holiday. The district tourism authorities will set the limit to 50,000. Monitoring is imposed when the beach goers reach 30,000 and when the numbers reach 40,000 the park will recommend other visitors to other parks and beaches.
The park will be open from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. and beach goers are remind not to go during peak hours to avoid congestion. Information will be distributed through different forms of media which includes text messages LED displays on expressways, TV and radio. The monitoring system is set up to avoid any problems about public security, traffic jams and accidents caused by overcrowding.
Built in 1999 Dameisha has been a favorite destination of holidaymakers since it offers free admission to the public and is usually crowded during holidays. Vehicle parking ares were design to accommodate 12,000 to 30,000 visitors a day, but due to the opening of expressways, traffic routes have improved access to the park.
