Shenzhen placed 14th in financial report
Shenzhen ranked 14th among the 75 global financial cities in the Global Financial Center Index report that was recently released. Shenzhen dropped down five places from ninth place in the past report, while Shanghai advanced to to 6th place, Beijing dropped to 16th.
The latest report is the eighth report that is produced bi annually by the Z/Yen Group since 2007. The group track 75 financial centers globally taking account 64 factors which includes people, infrastructure, market access, people and competitiveness. Shenzhen made the list in September 2009 ranking fifth topping the other mainland cities.
Reports showed that Shenzhen gained 710 marks from global professionals, 23 points lower that the last evaluation in March. Shanghai and Beijing each gained 10 points compared with their previous evaluations.
