19 year old took home the championship in the 8th World University Archery Games
Competing for the first time 19 year old Adam Gallant defeated his No. 1 rival Daniel Wido in the individual finals of the Compound Men’s Archery to win in the 8th World University Archery Championship. Adam’s rival won the U.S. National Archery Championship last May, Adam felt that him winning in the world archery was a great achievement.
Thanks to the satisfactory result, Adam is confident on gaining the championship on the 2011 Universiade Games. When asked about his stay in Shenzhen, Adam found the city amazing from its people architecture to its food. He wanted to learn more about the city but they were scheduled to go home in a few days.
Still he and a couple of members of the U.S. team were able to shop and see a few sites in the city. Adam says he will back next year and by that time he promised himself to spend more time touring the city and hopefully take first place again in the Universiade Games.
