Wal-Mart to Open its 2nd Sam’s Club in Shenzhen
Sam’s Club, one of several retail formats of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., will set up it’s second store in Shenzhen next year.
Over the past 14 years, Wal-Mart, the world’s largest retailer, has opened 17 supermarkets and one distribution center in Shenzhen. When it entered China in 1996, it based its headquarters and opened China’s first Sam’s Club in Shenzhen. The second one will be opened in Longgang District next year.
The name Sam’s Club comes from Wal-Mart’s founder, the legendary retailer Sam Walton. Sam’s Club is a membership-only warehouse store that provides spacious and comfortable shopping environment, high-quality, but inexpensive products and first-class services for its corporate and private members.
