China Cup International Regatta to be held in Daya Bay
The Ocean Sailing Academy of South Africa led by it’s well known captain Robbie Dove will be competing in the 2010 China Cup International Regatta, which will held on October 29th to November 1st in Daya Bay.
More than 40 boats from 11 countries will be competing in this event, this is the first African Team to compete in the event together with other countries like Russia, Turkey and Singapore that are also competing for the first time in the regatta. the mainland will be sending 20 boats to compete in this year’s regatta, 5 boats more than last year. One team to look out for is the Tuatahi Team from Hong Kong with Captain Cosmas Grelon which according to the organizers have participating sailors all below the age of fifteen with youngest sailor at the age of eleven.
The organizers also received an application from an all female boat team, and if they will pass all application procedures, they might become the first all female team to compete in the regatta.
