Armless Piano Player Wins Top Spot at "China's Got Talent"

An armless piano player captured the hearts of the audiences and thousands of viewers which led him to win first place in “China’s Got Talent”.

Liu Wei from Beijing got the majority of the nation’s text votes as he played the piano with his toes without missing a note while singing “You’re Beautiful” at the same time.

The 23-year old winner will have the chance to perform at Las Vegas for three months following an invitation by Taiwan singer Jolin Tsai during the awards ceremony, to be a guest performer in her world tour. He is also likely to receive a performance contract with Fremantle Media and Sony Music Entertainment.

Liu won over 7-year old Zhang Fengxi who amused the audience with her stand-up performance. Twenty-three-year old Cai Xiuqing from Shantou of Guangdong Province won 3rd place after singing “Boundless Oceans Vast Skies”.

The finals which was held at the Shanghai Stadium last Sunday also featured winners and finalists from the “Got Talent” series in Britain and the United States.
