CCTV featured junior reporters during the Shanghai expo

CCTV featured junior reporters during the Shanghai expoChina Central Television caught the attention of junior English reporters during a recent visit to the Shanghai Expo held during the National Day holidays. Junior reporters created a segment which was shown in a news program on CCTV News Channel and the segment was conducted in English.

Junior reporters made two minute segments showed their views and impressions during the expo and also showcased their duties as reporters for a local newspaper.  All 50 junior reporters aged 9 to 11 came from different primary schools were included in a four day tour of the Shanghai expo and made reports for a weekly education newspaper. The 50 junior reporters were the fourth group that was sent to do reports on the Expo and so far 260 reporters participated in the program.

1,000 students have so far registered for the junior reporters program, and they were selected from more than 10,000 applicants all coming from primary and junior middle schools.
