Maradona to lead Argentine players in a charity game
Legendary soccer player Diego Maradona will be leading players from Argentine Football League against the Shenzhen Ruby Soccer Club on a charity game this coming November 7. The charity game will be played at Dongguan Sports Center and proceeds from the games will be donated to cancer patients living n impoverished areas.
Maradona will begin a ten day tour of China with 11 players from the Argentina national team. They are here to help raise money for the Chinese Red Cross Foundation aimed to help poor people who are suffering from cancer. Maradona and the other players will also visit Beijing, Anhui, Liaoning, Henan and Shandong. A two hour lunch with Maradona will be auctioned in Beijing.
Maradona hopes his trip will bring a different visual feast to Chinese soccer fans, since the soccer fans are gods and they deserve a real game of soccer.
