Container trucks causes traffic jam at Yantian Port

Container trucks causes traffic jam at Yantian PortFollowing a typhoon warning last Saturday, Yantian Port was reopened after being closed in anticipation of typhoon Megi, then large number of containers started to arrive.

This prompted  roads to be blocked by cars for at least ten hours. Traffic returned to normal at 4 p.m. a number of residents were complaining that the incoming container trucks ignored traffic rules just to get inside the port.

Main roads were blocked when a couple of container trucks made U-turns at intersections just to get in the port. Buses were rerouted because of the traffic jam. Bus drivers had to change bus stops just to have lunch and change shifts. The long queue of trucks made it impossible for the bus to go back to their terminals.
