Shenzhen and Macao signed cooperation agreements
Shenzhen and Macao signed agreements to promote cooperation in its finance, tourism, culture, medicine and education. The agreements were signed during a 2010 cooperation conference between the two cities, with cooperation in culture as the highlight for a bilateral cooperation.
Macao will be setting up a sub venue for the China International Cultural Industries Fair, serving as a platform for exhibiting cultural works, projects and trade that features Macao. The city government sent a number of cultural enterprises to Macao to learn of the investment environment and cultural industries. More exchange visits will be planned to further encourage opportunities between the two cities.
The two cities will be cooperating in TCM research, industrialization and marketing of research findings. With the biology industry in Shenzhen in mind since its revenue is expected to reach 200 billion yuan in the next five years. Shenzhen also plans to introduce experienced teachers in higher education, with the University of Macao and South University of Science and Technology of China in Shenzhen signing agreements during the cooperation conference.
