Applicants can file for next year’s proficiency test
Expats living in Guangdong province who are interested in taking the next Chinese Proficiency Test in Shenzhen can apply now at the HSK examination center located in the Nanshan District. Registration deadline is on February 26, three weeks before the scheduled exam which is March 13.
The test will be done at the Shenzhen American International School which was the venue for the first two examination held in November 14 and last December 5. 200 expats from different countries who were living in Shenzhen took the tests. The test was a national standard examinations assessing Chinese language proficiency of non native speakers. It mainly measures the communicative capacity of using Chinese in daily life, work and study.
The exams are conducted in two parts, the written and oral tests. Written test was level 1 to level 6 and is done ten times a year. the oral test, including primary, intermediate, and advanced levels are done three times a year. test results are used by foreign students to apply for Chinese universities or to get graduation certificates.
