Shenzhen reached a record high in monthly exports
Shenzhen exports reached a record high in November, a growth of almost 41 percent since last year or amounts to US$ 22 billion dollars. This is the first time Shenzhen exceeded its monthly export volume of US$ 20 billion dollars.
Shenzhen’s total foreign trade volume in the first 11 months also achieved a record high of US$ 52 billion which surpassed the 2008 foreign trade volume, a trade surplus of US$ 52 billion was also seen by Shenzhen which is a 10 percent increase from last’s years period.
Hong Kong still remains as Shenzhen biggest trading partner with bilateral trade between cities reaching the amount of US$ 74 billion, plus Shenzhen’s foreign trade with other Asian countries, Europe and the United States is also experiencing growth as well. Mechanical and electrical products were the leading exports during the 11 month period.
