Best Holiday Wishes to All
Wow! Here we are at the end of the 2010 part of this 2010-2011 school year. It has gone very quickly. A great deal of learning has occurred, students have grown older, taller, and just a little bit wiser while the rest of us have only grown wiser. Friendships have been nurtured and new experiences have enriched us.
So now we all take a little holiday. One of the things that certainly puts me in a holiday mood is to listen to and see our students perform. I saw four great performances in these two weeks and smiled the whole time.
A facet of international living that is true for us all is that our community is always changing. Old friends leave to new adventures and new friends come. This is a time of year that we experience many changes as we say goodbye to a number of families. To those of you who are making a move, our very best wishes and please, keep in touch.
When we return on January 4, 2011, several new families will join us and more will be coming through January. We look forward to welcoming them.
On behalf of our teachers, administrators, International School Services and all of the wonderful staff who make SIS the learning place that it is, I’d like to wish everyone in the community a happy and safe holiday and look forward to a great 2011.
