Professionals offered higher pay and incentives to work in other cities
Due to rising prices, prohibitive housing costs and low salaries shenzhen is losing its appeal with professionals. During the recent job fair which attracted 288 enterprises from Shenzhen and a couple from other places had 12,000 positions available for senior and mid range professionals only attracted a few job seekers.
Enterprises outside Shenzhen are giving better offers for technology and management professionals, some enterprises are giving out incentives such as company car, free housing and higher pay. A company in Beijing is offering positions for senior managers with annual salaries of 1 million yuan. Other positions were getting an annual salary of at least 200,000 yuan. Shenzhen had a mature real estate industry and lots of high-caliber real estate professionals, technology, marketing and management professionals are also in demand. Positions in the equipment manufacturing and electronic information are also offered.
Employees said that local enterprises living environment is not as good as before and Beijing and Shanghai are giving more development opportunities with a high salary level. Companies in Shenzhen are having a hard time recruiting the people they need, and some companies were recovering and professionals are enticed to work in other places where foreign business are paying higher salaries.
