Amazing Cuisine at The Spice Circle
We were greeted with a smile from Manager, Vivek and he encouraged us to try a range of dishes.
We started with papri Chaat, home made crispy wafers with chickpeas glazed with tamarind sauce, mint sauce sprinkled with cumin seed powder. Next we were treated to Spice Circle’s Tandoori Platter, assorted kebab platter of Fish Tikka, seekh kebab, Chicken tikka,Boti kebab & Tandoori chicken. Then came the Kurkure Papad, roasted Crispy flat lentils served with dips and our starters were finished with Cucumber Raita, grated cucumber and Yoghurt dip. All the starters tasted amazing and our appetites were wetted and ready for the mains.
We were served Palak Paneer, spinach Puree cooked with cubes of cottage cheese. Adraki Gobhi Aloo, cauliflower and potatoes cooked with Indian condiments and fresh ginger. Handi Dhaniya Murgh, chicken cooked with Coriander served in clay pot. My favourite the lamb Roganjosh, lamb cooked in onion & tomato base gravy – a specialty of Kashmir. To blow my head off with heat we sampled a lamb Vindaloo, Cubes of lamb and potatoes cooked with extremely spicy hot Vindaloo sauce from Goa. The mains were accompanied by Kashmiri Pulao, basmati rice cooked with saffron & finished with dry fruits and garlic Naan, plain Naan with butter & fresh garlic.
For dessert we tried Jamun E Gul, Deep fried milk balls soaked in cardamom flavoured sugar syrup and Rasmalai, all time favourite Chilled Indian dessert made up with milk.
All the dishes were out of this world and the venue was impeccably presented. Thanks to Vivek and his team.
