Residents advised to take other forms of transportation
According to the Spring Festival Transport Office, train tickets for the pre festival period are sold out, and transportation authority advised travelers to choose other forms of transport in going home. Around 6:00 pm yesterday only a few tickets to Xiangfan, Chendu, Xinyang and other places were available.

Drivers are reminded to be aware of icy roads and falling temperature affecting Guangdong by the end of the month. traffic police are preparing for the transport peak by setting 19 inspection stations on expressways to check for overloading, speeding, driver fatigue and drunk driving.
The past week police apprehended 15,265 violations this includes 17 cases of unlicensed driving and 23 cases of drunk driving. Inspection stations also registered 2,000 buses a day. Last January 20 traffic police detained a driver at the He’ao tollgate for drunk driving. The driver had a blood-alcohol level of 60mg/100ml and a trunk driver was also caught after getting involved in an accident on Guangshen expressway, the driver also had a blood-alcohol level of 174mg/100ml almost double the legal limit of 80mg/100ml.
