Chinese President called for effort to promote welfare
Chinese President Hu Jintao called for efforts to help promote welfare for Chinese senior citizens, make medical services more affordable and improve the country’s health care system. This happened when Hu made a three day inspection tour in Baoding City in which he talked to senior citizens, visited orphans and gave festival greeting to the city’s local residents.
Hu also offered new year greeting at a nursing center in Shunping County senior citizens, orphans and staff. Hu extend wishes of good health and long life to the senior citizens, encouraged orphans to study well and thanked the staff or being there to take care of the people in need.
The government will make efforts to improve the welfare of the seniors making sure that their difficulties will be solved an they will be given access to better services. Health care and medical insurance systems will then be upgraded in the future to help tackle citizens difficulties in the medical care department.
Hu also inspected the drought conditions in Baoding wheat fields, joined the villagers in the New Year celebrations while extending Spring Festival greeting to passing passengers, workers and volunteers.
