Transfer pricing – what’s new in China?
The workshop aims at providing an update of the transfer pricing environment in China including most recent information about tax and transfer pricing audits, transfer pricing documentation review process by the tax authorities, as well as the current Advance Pricing Agreement (APA) cases.
It will provide an overview of what is to be expected on the transfer pricing side for 2011, for French companies operating in China, as well as the key current and coming transfer pricing hot topics for CFOs and tax managers in China.
The session will be focusing on transfer pricing challenges faced by Chinese subsidiaries of French multinational companies in South China and illustrated by case-studies, including:
• Managing a cost plus system for a plant
• Justifying the arm’s length nature of head office services
• Structuring and quantifying transfers / licenses of technology and know-how
• Risks and opportunities of entering into an APA process with Chinese tax authorities
Depending on the audience, the seminar will be conducted either in English or in French.
Participants in this seminar will also have the opportunity to join the Finance working group established by the French Chamber of Commerce in Canton.
