What’s happening in art class?
Grade 5 competed in World Peace Day. This was a competition to create a drawing to be entered in a peace quilt that will be showcased in the London Olympics 2012. Children from all over the world were asked ‘what does world peace mean to you?’. Their responses were depicted in drawings. The ambition of the quilt is to educate and bring about change worldwide.
Angel Sun was chosen to represent Shekou International School. We are currently the only school representing China.
Kindergarten to Grade 12 are now invited to enter a painting of the Queen of England to the http://www.lookandlearn.com/blog/?p=3103 art competition. This year is the Queen’s 85th birthday and she will be presented with a digital montage of portraits.
