More hospitals to be added by 2015The city health department said that they will be adding a new hospital in Bao’an District by the year 2014. Xin’an Hospital will be the second biggest hospital in the city and is designed to have 1,000 beds and outpatient department can handle 4,000 patients in a day.

The new hospital is located in the coastal area of Bao’an CBD covering 80,034 square meters and to cost 910 million yuan. Metro lines 1,5,11 will be serving the hospital. Shenzhen biggest hospital Binhai hospital in the Nanshan district will be completed this year. the two new hospital will be serving the residents in the Bao’an and Longgang Districts, including two new public children hospitals in Bao’an and Longgang districts. A rehabilitation hospital will also be open in Nan’ao.

The Nanshan District People’s Hospital was also approved by the health authorities to be a 3A hospital which is a first district level 3A hospital in the city. Even if the hospital has upgraded their standings the hospital and medical fees will be same. A 3A hospitals are highest levels hospital in China.

Shenzhen now have four 3A hospitals , the other three 3A hospitals are Shenzhen People’s Hospital. Shenzhen No. 2 People’s Hospital and the Shenzhen Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital. The Beijing University Shenzhen Hospital is also applying to become a 3A hospital.
