Students participates in exchange programs
Students from the Shenzhen Foreign Language School have a chance to study abroad for one year through an exchange program. This is an attempt by the school to reach a first class international middle school ranking.
The school also invites foreign students and teachers in this exchange programs. One teacher from Canada was in town to give a mathematics lecture for the second time and had a grand time and he hopes that the school can give more lectures to the students and they are welcome to study in University of Waterloo in Canada in the future.
A hundred students composed mostly of junior 3 and senior 1 are on a one year exchange programs to the US, and Japan. Also under an exchange program with University of Toronto, 140 students will be studying at the university ans 28 more will attend in August. The school is also under negotiations with various foreign universities such as the University of Waterloo, Turin Polytechnic University in Italy and Waseda University in Japan. The schools exchange programs also covers the countries of Germany, France and Japan.
The school is also giving advanced placement courses, 41 students have taken the examinations and 29 have earned full marks.
