Tibetan mastiff are considered fierce guard dogs and one of the world’s oldest breeds. The Tibetan Mastiff is considered a primitive breed. It typically retains the instincts which would be required for it to survive in Tibet’s cold weather, and including canine pack behavior. This is one of the few primitive dog breeds that retains a single oestrus per year instead of two.

The most recent Tibetan mastiff sold in China was bought for 10 million yuan or US$ 1.52 million dollars, making it the most expensive dog in the world. Five years bask the cost of a Tibetan mastiff was around 5,000 yuan and have slowly risen to be sold at hundreds then for thousands, then for millions.
The Tibetan mastiff named Big Splash is only 11 months old and weighs 81 kilograms, the dog is a perfect specimen and have excellent genes making him a perfect breeding dog said the dog’s breeder Lu Liang. The world most expensive dog was said to be bought by a coal magnate in the Northern China.
