Solar heating systems required for new homes
Apartments that failed to install solar heating systems that are not up to standards will be banned from being placed on the market by the city housing and construction bureau. Residential housing projects with stable demand for heating facilities were required to install solar heating facilities.
The housing and construction bureau said that the requirements also applies to housing projects that were approved last December. Buildings having less than 12 floors will have heating facilities installed in all households. Buildings with 12 floors and more needs solar heating facilities installed on 12 floors while the rooftops are covered with solar panels except areas that are reserved for firefighting facilities.
Residential housing projects that have stable heating facilities are the dormitories, in patient buildings in hospitals, apartment buildings, retirement homes, hotels and welfare centers. Housing projects will not be allowed to continue their constructions if the heating system fails to comply with these restrictions.
