Labor shortage hitting all labor dependent businessesLabor shortage have already hit all labor dependent manufacturing and catering businesses all over the city, and have already focused in hitting the high end jobs as well.

During a high end employment fair in Futian CBD was offering 12,000 job vacancies with salaries of almost 100,000 yuan, only saw 8,500 job seekers attending. Some of the recruiters were over heard saying that it was getting hard to find high end professionals to employ even with offers of improved benefit package, career development and higher salaries.

Most of the companies that attended the jobs fair already raised their offered wages to 15 percent, still they couldn’t find candidates that are qualified for the jobs. As of now around 180 multinational and global companies are in the process of looking engineers and high end professionals at job fairs and offering annual salaries of almost 100,000 yuan. jobs in the fields of research and development, consultants and sales managers are in high demand, but companies are finding it hard to find qualified researchers.

Labor shortages still remain a problem for the job markets for more than several years now, and have turn for the worse this year wide more industries reporting a shortage. Even when employers have already raised their minimum salary months before the government announced that they were raising it 15 percent.
