TP-LINK Leads Global Market in WLAN Network Equipment Shipments

Shenzhen based TP-LINK, a global provider of networking products, today announced its number one market share position in unit shipments for WLAN network equipment in In-Stat’s 4Q 2010 report with 20.8% market share. TP-LINK also holds the highest percent market share for Broadband CPE unit shipments at 16.9%. Between 2009 and 2010, TP-LINK also showed significant market share gains in worldwide revenue for the Wi-Fi Network Equipment market.

“This is our first entry into In-Stat’s reports, so it’s extremely satisfying to have a notable presence there. We are excited about these results as they help validate our growing strength in the North American market,” commented Richard Xu, Vice President of TP-LINK USA. “There’s much more to come from TP-LINK for 2011 as we continue investing in the consumer and SOHO markets.”

TP-LINK has outgrown large competitors including Cisco’s Linksys and Taiwan based D-Link to lead the world in wireless networking and broadband CPE.
